During the second half of 2004 - the first half of 2005. in the Moscow and Ivanovo regions, several murders were committed, in two of which the investigation was able to prove a racist motive.
The main suspect in these murders, Andrei Shishkin, was convicted by a jury in 2006 of three murders. It was not possible to prove his involvement in three more investigations.
On October 4, 2004, at 108 km of the inner side of the Moscow Ring Road, the driver of the seventh model Zhiguli, an ethnic Azerbaijani, was killed. The killer shot him in the back and then slit his throat. A. Shishkin dragged the corpse of the driver into the back seat, got behind the wheel himself and returned to Moscow, leaving the car with the body of the deceased on Suzdalskaya Street.
In late autumn, another driver was also killed. A. Shishkin took away a mobile phone from the murdered man
The third murder, in which the investigation managed to prove Shishkin's involvement, took place on January 9, 2005 in Ivanovo. A. Shishkin committed this crime together with his friend A. Kuznetsov. Unlike previous murders, A. Shishkin did not cut the throat of the victim, simply robbing the victim.
The suspects were arrested by accident. In the summer of 2005, the traffic police stopped the car for a check and found a weapon in it.
A. Shishkin and A. Kuznetsov were sentenced on June 18, 2006 and confirmed by the Supreme Court in September.
