Neo-Nazi in the elections

In December 2004, a certain Denis Tananin, who calls himself the coordinator and organizer of the National Socialist Union, was registered as a candidate at the elections of deputies of the city council of Protvino, Moscow Region.

The elections were held on January 30, 2005 and success in them D. Tananin - an ex-member of a number of right-wing radical and neo-Nazi organizations (People's Social Party, National Republican Party of Russia (NRPR), and later its fragment - "Freedom Party" Yuri Belyaev ) - did not, gaining only 206 votes - the lowest figure among all registered candidates.
