St. Petersburg neo-Nazi's term of detention extended

On February 15, 2005, at a regular hearing in the Leninsky Federal Court of St. Petersburg in the case of the extremist group "Schultz-88", the term of detention of its leader Dmitry Bobrov was extended.

According to Katerina Baromia, a lawyer for one of the defendants in this case, Bobrov's detention period has been extended by three months, until May 25. The next meeting is scheduled for May 12. It is expected that by this time the results of the examination will be ready.

It should be reminded that the criminal case against the "Schultz-88" grouping was initiated by the prosecutor's office on April 9, 2003 on the fact of an attack on an Armenian citizen. Initially, the incident was considered as hooliganism. However, during the investigation it was established that it was committed on the basis of national hatred.

The leader of "Schultz-88" was charged under Art. 282-1 of the Criminal Code ("Organization of an extremist community") and art. 280 of the Criminal Code ("Public calls for extremist activities"). He is also charged with the involvement of minors in the commission of crimes (Article 150 of the Criminal Code).
