Protesting activists were not released after the trial

On February 15, 2005, 20 members of Front AIDS and the Rainbow Keepers picketed the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation demanding treatment for HIV-infected prisoners.

14 picketers were detained, taken to the police station, and then to the court, which sentenced them for organizing an unsanctioned picket (an administrative offence). However, according to Kommersant correspondent Valery Panyushkin, the activists were not released after the trial.
