The Volga Region Spiritual Directorate of Music spoke out against the implemented practice of selecting candidates for the post of governor

Mufti Mukaddas Bibarsov, chairman of the Volga Muslim Spiritual Administration, signed an appeal to Dmitry Medvedev, head of the presidential administration of Russia, along with the heads of 12 other organizations that are members of the Saratov Public Assembly. The appeal contains a demand to suspend the procedure for approving candidates for governors, who, on behalf of the president, will be submitted for discussion by the regional legislative assembly.
