A case has been initiated in Kamchatka under Article 282

On March 15, 2005, the Russkaya Zashchita website reported that in early March the prosecutor of the city of Vilyuchinsk, Kamchatka Region, initiated a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation against Yury Slobozhaninov, a member of the NDPR.

It is known that the suspect was searched, as a result of which the system unit of the computer was seized.

The circumstances of the case are unknown. Presumably, Slobozhaninov is charged with distributing anti-Semitic leaflets.

As reported in one of the nationalist forums, the defendant refused the Armenian lawyer offered to him, calling him a " "representative of the occupiers .

On March 16, official information appeared from the prosecutor of the city of Vilyuchinsk, Andrey Novitsky. He told RIA Novosti that the case had been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national, racial or religious hatred) and specified that Slobozhaninov " "is charged with distributing leaflets and electronic messages containing anti-Semitic slogans . According to the prosecutor, a linguistic examination of leaflets and electronic spam messages sent by Slobozhaninov has been appointed. The investigation also plans to conduct a psychiatric examination of the defendant.

The prosecutor emphasized that the case on the fact of inciting ethnic hatred was initiated in Kamchatka for the first time.

Slobozhaninov faces up to four years in prison.

In the summer of 2007 Yu. Slobozhaninov died.
