Taevsky "To hit a sectarian", in which the author expresses indignation at the anti-Jehovist publication of "Vostochno-Sibirskaya Pravda" ("VSP"). "The article was written, of course, competently and professionally. It is written in such a way that after the first reading you want to take a stick and go beat the sectarian scoundrels", - D. Taevsky notes and carefully, slowly, paragraph by paragraph, analyzes the material of A. Savchenko, gradually revealing readers ways to create the stereotype of the "totalitarian sect".

D. Taevsky draws attention to the fact that the "negative" heroine of the essay - an adult, independent, capable woman - has the right to choose her own way of life and raise her own child in accordance with it. “There is no fact of crime here. By the way, no one questions the right of parents to raise children in the Orthodox spirit. No one forbids teaching children to pray, kneel, fast, read the Bible, many places of which are not intended for the child’s psyche. the same thing in another Christian denomination using the same Bible - for some reason it is considered almost a crime .

In addition, if we omit the anti-Jehovist pathos, it turns out that it is this woman who is the object of violence: they lock her up, try to take her child away from her, and so on. "The worst option is that the girl will be taken away from the sect and subjected to serious psychological impact. Which will mean either a mental hospital or suicide for her. And for her child - severe psychological stress . "

In addition to the content, D. Taevsky also analyzes the professional level of the publication (which is extremely rare for materials discussing "hate speech" ): "It should be noted that the article, despite the unequivocal professionalism of the author, is written according to a typical scheme for criticizing any sect. This scheme is as follows : the situation of leaving a certain family member to a sect is taken, the psychological change of this person is described - from the point of view of his family members, the worries and feelings of this family members about leaving the sect are described, after which a certificate is given about the persecution of this sect - necessarily in another country or in another region, a very tendentious reference is given about the founders of the sect, some reference book of the Russian Orthodox Church on sectarianism is quoted - without any mention of the reliability of this reference book and the legal force of the information presented in it. based on highly dubious claims . "

D. Taevsky emphasizes that * "the activities of the sect of Jehovah's Witnesses are permitted on the territory of the Russian Federation. And with this phrase, any discussion of this topic should have ended ... From the point of view of the law, the activities of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church and the sect of Jehovah's Witnesses are absolutely equally legal. And consequently, any attempt at coercive action against citizens attending a particular sect is illegal, and the publication of materials condemning a particular sect that is permitted on the territory of the Russian Federation is propaganda of religious hatred, which is already a criminal offense.

One can understand when such materials are published by a newspaper like "Number One", which is, by definition, entertaining. One can understand when such articles are written by a young journalist, brilliant in her incompetence. But to read this in the oldest and respected regional newspaper, the head of which knows the laws perfectly and, moreover, is the chairman of the regional Union of Journalists - somehow strange ... "* - D. Taevsky completes his publication.

Comm. I would like to note that the condemnation of the "VSP" publication, expressed by D. Taevsky, was supported by the majority of the portal's visitors who wrote responses to this publication. So far, we have not come across such a well-reasoned criticism of "anti-sectarian" publications, nor, even more so, support for this criticism by readers.
