Anti-fascist march in St. Petersburg

On March 21, 2005, an unsanctioned anti-fascist procession took place in St. Petersburg as part of the International Week to Combat Fascism.

The procession was attended by about 30 people - members of leftist youth organizations. Among them: members of the Association of Anarchist Movements, the St. Petersburg League of Anarchists, the groups "Punk Renaissance", "Food Not Bombs", "SchNEWS St.Petersburg", as well as antifa-hooligans and antifa musicians.

The demonstrators carried black and black and red flags and banners - "Death to fascism!", "The world is colored, not brown!" and chanted the slogans "Fascism will not pass!", "No to fascism, no war, no aggression in Chechnya!", "Antifa!" and others. The walls of the houses located along the procession were painted by its participants with anti-fascist posters.

The procession began at 16.30 at the Grand Concert Hall "Oktyabrsky", passed through the streets of Zhukovsky, Liteiny Prospekt, Belinsky, Inzhenernaya and others, and ended 45 minutes later near the street. B. Konyushennaya.

The action took place peacefully, without any clashes and contacts with the police.

This is the second anti-fascist action in the last few days. A similar picket was held in St. Petersburg on March 19, 2005.
