On March 28, 2005, foreign students, including citizens of Lebanon and Syria, who were beaten on March 26, 2005, gathered in front of the university building in Krasnodar near the KubSU building to protest to the leadership of the university.
About two hundred foreign students protested against the inaction of law enforcement officers and the lack of proper security measures on the territory of KubSU. More than 350 signatures were collected under the relevant application addressed to the rector of KubSU, academician V. Babeshko. Foreigners are asked to organize round-the-clock police duty on the territory of educational institutions and ensure their personal safety.
The rector's office is preparing a letter addressed to the head of the Krasnodar Department of Internal Affairs "regarding the inaction of the police officers from the strong point, which is located on the territory of the dormitories." It became known to the media that a criminal case had been opened on the fact of the attack on foreigners, but the Krasnodar police department has not yet given any comments regarding the attack.
