Skinheads of the Moscow region: data from the Central Internal Affairs Directorate

Deputy head of the juvenile affairs unit of the Moscow region, police colonel Anatoly Yashkov, at a press conference held in Moscow, outlined the problem of the growth of youth crime.

According to the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Moscow Region, there are currently about two thousand extremist-minded people in the Moscow region, more than a thousand of whom are minors.

As Yashkov noted, 459 teenagers identify themselves as skinheads, 630 as aggressive fans, and another 83 teenagers as both.

According to the deputy head of the unit, extremist-minded residents of the Moscow region “try to appear where they are not known” and, as a rule, specially travel to neighboring areas for various actions and robberies.

The most problematic regions in terms of the growth rate of youth crime are Chekhov, Lukhovitsy, Domodedovo, Ramenki and Shatura.
