Provocation at a rally against the monetization of benefits

On April 3, 2005, a rally against the "monetization of benefits" was held in Izhevsk. According to Den news agency, at the rally there was "a case of an attack by representatives of the neo-fascist leadership of the local branch of the Narodnaya Volya party ... on Oleg Serebrennikov, a member of the Coordinating Council of the ATAKA group . "

This is not the first case of an attack on Ataka activists . On February 23, 2004, during a rally against the war in Chechnya, Oleg Serebrenikov and Alexander Zimbovsky were beaten.

Let us add to this that the Izhevsk news agency Den reported earlier about another provocation against the organizers of "anti-monetization" rallies, which, however, was not of a violent nature.

On February 10, 2005, leaflets were distributed in Izhevsk informing that such a rally, scheduled for February 12, was postponed from 11 am to 7 pm. to carry out their action together with the Izhevsk branch of the "Party of Freedom".

The organizers of the rally and representatives of the news agency Den tend to view such actions not only as a provocation by neo-Nazi organizations, but also as actions carried out with the knowledge of the republican authorities in order to discredit the anti-monetization movement.
