Photo exhibition "Tabor. Pogrom" in St. Petersburg

On April 4, 2005, a photo exhibition "Tabor. Pogrom" dedicated to the problem of gypsy tent camps and the fate of their inhabitants was opened in St. Petersburg at 87 Ligovsky Prospekt. The event is timed to April 8 - International Roma Day and is held by the St. Petersburg public organization "Memorial" and the North-Western Center for Social and Legal Protection of Roma (Gypsies).

The organizers of the photo exhibition hope that it will be the first step in a large public discussion about the situation of Roma migrants in St. Petersburg, whom they call "one of the most vulnerable national minorities" .
