Currently, the Central Election Commission is studying how this column "works" in the regions, the CEC chairman said. On the one hand, voting "against all" allows voters to protest against nominated candidates. On the other hand, sometimes a situation arises when a voter, voting against everyone, simply does not want to strain himself and leaves the choice. Veshnyakov believes that it is necessary to analyze whether the count provokes such actions "against everyone".
The head of the CEC believes that one of the possible options could be the transfer of the right to regional legislators to decide for themselves whether this column is needed.
