Police detained participants of an authorized rally

On April 9, 2005, the Autonomous Action organization held a sanctioned rally in the city of Ivanovo. At the rally, participants uttered anti-government slogans. The police detained five people, two of whom were minors and were later released. The other three spent the night in the temporary detention center and were taken to court in the morning. The detainees were charged under two articles - disobedience to police officers and petty hooliganism (for shouting slogans like "Putin is the new Fuhrer").

Subsequently, the charge of petty hooliganism was dropped, and the court session was postponed to April 11.

According to the detainees, at the police station, officers of the Organized Crime Control Department threatened to plant drugs on one of the "Autonomous Action" participants if he continued his activities.
