"Star" Chronicles

On April 13, 2005, Novye Izvestiya published an article by Andrey Pankov "Narcissus turned out to be a brawler" dedicated to the incident involving the singer. Recall that on March 31, 2005, the performer of the song "Chocolate Bunny" beat (or allegedly beat) his pregnant bride. By no means justifying his behavior, I would like to express bewilderment at the way the journalist describes a domestic incident.

Of course, without mentioning that Narcissus is a black singer, many readers would probably not be able to identify the character of the note. However, the author manages to mention this fact four times in a five-paragraph publication.

"Black singer", "exotic artist" (?!), "black performer" - there were almost no other definitions for a brawler in A. Pankov, but it is unlikely that skin color has anything to do with the essence of the publication. Of particular bewilderment is such an incorrect description in Novye Izvestia, a publication in which there is practically no hate speech.
