On April 16, 2005, in Voronezh, unknown teenagers attacked two activists of the Youth Human Rights Movement (YHRM) - Sergei Fedulov and Alexander Vyalykh.
The victims were sent to a meeting of a youth discussion club dedicated to the problem of youth subculture. On the way they were suddenly attacked by a group of young people (about 12 people). At the same time, two of Fedulov's teeth were knocked out, and both human rights activists suffered numerous bodily injuries.
Presumably, the attack is connected with the anti-fascist activities of human rights activists.
Voronezh is one of the most disadvantaged regions in terms of manifestations of ethnic and racial xenophobia. Attacks on foreign students and their defenders occur quite regularly here. For example, last week were beaten up in the city. three Albanian students
On April 20, 2005, the Youth Human Rights Group (MPG-Voronezh) was forced to cancel the contest of drawings on asphalt "Everyone is different - everyone is equal!" because of the threat of attack on its participants by local radical nationalist groups, mainly skinheads.
The competition was supposed to take place on April 20, 2005 as part of the citywide charity event "Week of Kindness". The event was not secured. April 20 is the birthday of Adolf Hitler, as practice shows, on this day one should especially be wary of the actions of neo-Nazis.
