Organizers of the rally were detained in St. Petersburg

On April 19, 2005, after a rally against the policy of the St. Petersburg authorities regarding small businesses, the chairman of the city branch of the party: Yabloko; Maxim Reznik and Igor Kucherenko, executive director of the SPS regional branch, on whose behalf the application for the event was submitted.

The city administration did not give permission for the rally, explaining that : the location of the public event indicated by the applicants at the intersection of Smolny Alley and Proletarian Dictatorship Square does not allow for unhindered passage of citizens; .
