The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug court removed the candidate for the post of city head who won the first round

On April 8, 2005, the presidium of the court of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO), two days before the second round of elections, canceled the registration of Alexander Kuzmin, a candidate for the post of head of the city of Megion, who received the largest number of votes in the first round.

The second round of elections scheduled for 10 April 2005 did not take place. "Against all" voted 59.42% of voters. According to the law, repeated elections will be scheduled no later than one year later.
