On April 29, 2005, the leader of the Vanguard of the Red Youth (AKM) Sergei Udaltsov was attacked in Moscow.
At 22:00 near the entrance of his own house, Udaltsov was attacked by four unknown men who beat him. During the fight, the attackers did not utter a word: this led the AKM members to the opinion that the attack was planned in advance.
Udaltsov turned to the police, a criminal case was opened. The AKM leader himself suggests that the incident is an act of intimidation, similar to the attack on the headquarters of the NBP, in which the Nashi movement is involved.
According to the KPRF.Ru website, the attack on S. Udaltsov was organized and carried out by supporters of Dmitry Demushkin's "Slavic Union" , a right-wing radical nationalist organization.
