An anti-fascist meeting was held at the Sakharov Museum

In Moscow, the A. Sakharov Museum and Public Center hosted an anti-fascist meeting of public organizations of the capital, organized by the committee "For Civil Rights". The action was attended by human rights activists, as well as more than 40 representatives of ethno-cultural associations.

The participants discussed issues of interaction and cooperation, requirements aimed at combating the fascist threat that civil society can present to the authorities, methods of international and patriotic education of youth.

According to the majority of those present, in order to achieve results in the fight against neo-Nazi ideology, it is necessary to instill in the layman a tolerant attitude towards Others - representatives of others, culturally distinctive (ethnic, racial, social), in particular, by refusing vocabulary that provokes a negative attitude towards Others. They also noted the need for a state program to promote anti-fascist ideas with the active participation of the media in its implementation, so that participants in neo-Nazi movements feel antipathy, unwillingness of citizens to live with them in the same society.
