Who do Russian citizens dislike?

The All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) conducted a survey

citizens of Russia about their attitude towards representatives of other ethnic groups

and cultures.

According to the results of the survey, 56% of Russians treat representatives of all nationalities equally. Among the nations and peoples that cause hostility and irritation, the overwhelming majority are people from the Caucasus.

• Chechens (14.8%),

• Azerbaijanis (5.1%),

• Armenians (4.1%),

• Caucasians in general (6.0%).

This list is diluted by gypsies (5.1%).

Rarely called

• Jews (2.5%).

At the heart of hostility to these nationalities are socio-cultural stereotypes, fear of terrorism and economic reasons (control over the business of ethnic groups, competition in the labor market).
