On May 19, 2005, in the premises occupied by the organization of the Revolutionary Communist Youth Union, RKSM (b), in Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB conducted a search, during which all political literature was seized. According to representatives of law enforcement agencies, an unknown person called them and said that a bomb had been planted in the premises.
The bomb was not found, and party and Komsomol newspapers and leaflets were confiscated under the pretext of studying for extremist and anti-government statements. The excavation was carried out by Rinat Mavlyutov, according to a source from the KPRF.ru website, who is responsible in Dzerzhinsk for the fight against "youth extremism."
