In total, in the Russian Federation in 2003, 8 criminal cases were brought to court, in which 9 people were accused. In 2004, 40 people were brought as defendants in 24 criminal cases.

In all federal districts, except for the Urals, there are cases brought by investigators of the prosecutor's office to court.

In both 2003 and 2004, the number of cases brought to court under Article 282 was fairly evenly distributed across the federal districts. For example, in 2003, 3 criminal cases were brought to court in the Central, 2 - in the Southern, and one case in the North-Western, Volga and Far Eastern Federal Districts. In 2004 - 5 cases each - in the Central and Volga, 4 cases - in the North-Western, Siberian and Southern, and one case - in the Far Eastern Federal District.

For various reasons, a number of cases under this article were terminated and not brought to trial. In 2003, there were 15 such cases involving 20 people, and in 2004 there were 9 (9 people were accused).
