On March 23, 2005, the leadership of the Volga Region Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Compliance with Legislation in the Sphere of Mass Communications and the Protection of Cultural Heritage (Rosokhrakultura) issued a warning to the editors of the newspaper "I am a Russian in Samara" (an organ of the Volga Region branch of the NNP - People's National Party) about the inadmissibility of distributing materials "inciting racial, national intolerance, propaganda and public display of symbols similar to the Nazi" .
According to the head of the department, Svetlana Zhdanova, the warning was issued in connection with the publication in the publication of V. Guzhov of the articles "For what the criminal nation will answer" and "Jewish fascism is worse than German", which was a violation of the law "On the Mass Media" and the Federal Law "On countering extremist activities".
A similar warning was issued to the Volzhskaya Zarya newspaper, the information body of the NPPR (People's Patriotic Party of Russia). The exact date of the issuance of the warning is unknown (probably it happened at the end of May 2005).
