"Komsomolskaya Pravda": Let's support Le Pen!

May 27, 2005 "Komsomolskaya Pravda published another anti-Islamic article "Europe is going to Islam?" (Author - Daria Aslamova). We will not comment on, to put it mildly, the author's extremely dubious arguments on the topic of Islam, "confirmed" by numerous quotations, which are most often taken out of context (discourses about the impossibility of assimilation of the Arab community of Western Europe begin, for example, with a quote from Maupassant: "We are not able to to know the immediate or primitive nature of the Arab ... It is, so to speak, recreated by his faith, the Koran, the teachings of Mohammed. Never before has any other religion been introduced to such a degree in human beings ") .

The main pathos of the article, which examines the problems of social adaptation of Muslim migrants in Europe, boils down to the fact that "Islam is perhaps the most uncompromising and inflexible world religion." "Time flows, the world changes, but the rules invented back in the seventh century remain unchanged. The Umma (community of believers) must adapt itself to the law, but the law cannot be "modernized" in response to changes in the world," says D. Aslamova . For our part, there is simply nothing to comment on here: any religious tradition is like this. And the existence of ancient religions in the modern world is a separate complex topic, obviously not for such a "qualified" author as D. Aslamova. By the way, the author openly substitutes arguments about Islam as a creed with examples of the actions of extreme Islamists and assessments of the activities of this particular group of Muslims.

Neither the editors nor the expert commentators lag behind the author. The article itself is illustrated with a photo collage of a Muslim family against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, accompanied by the following caption: "Without firing a shot, migrants conquered Paris, London, and Berlin. What lies ahead - is it Moscow?" .

Mikhail Leontiev argues that "Russians will also be swallowed if they do not start giving birth," and Sergei Chugaev, a representative of the editorial board, argues that "in Moscow, for example, there are already areas populated mainly by immigrants from the Caucasian republics ... But Russians it’s better for guys not to appear there in the evening. However, just like Caucasians, you should not use electric trains near Moscow . Moreover, he compares these immigrants with migrants in Spain, who supposedly hate this country. The output proposed by S. Chugaev is not original. He insists on the right of a nation "to protect its identity, its culture, its future" following the example of Israel, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, advocates for tightening migration policy as a tactical measure to protect this right and - as a long-term strategy - its "conceptual revision - according to the model of Le Pen or any other .
