The possible cancellation of the column "against all" in the regional elections may directly affect the rights of the opposition, believes Albert Hakobyan, author of the article "Citizen" P.V. Candidates "leaving the race", which was published on the website of the "Civil Club" on July 1, 2005.
In the specific Russian conditions, voting "against all" is not a lack of citizenship and not ignoring the elections, the author of the material objects to numerous supporters of such abolition, accusing citizens voting in this way of "foolishness" and "mental laziness": "Those who are too lazy, on Those who go and vote "against everyone" make a no less conscious decision than those who vote for United Russia or the Liberal Democratic Party .
The column "against all", according to A. Hakobyan, is chosen as "the lesser of evils", since in Russia the political spectrum is vertical - it is the party of the bureaucracy and "everyone else".
However, "everyone else" (that is, the opposition) does not take any action to dismantle the bureaucratic regime itself. Moreover, "the contradictions between the party in power and the opposition cannot be called an ideological confrontation: the vast majority of those who call themselves "opponents of the regime" are "opposition" only "positionally", their coming to power does not change the essence of the regime. ... They strive eliminate personalities, but keep the mode "for yourself" " .
