Since July 2, 2005, a summer youth camp organized by the "Russian National Union" has been held in the forests near the town of Pokrov, Vladimir Region. The purpose of the camp is "the creation of community youth structures with a high mobilization potential and capable of maintaining their religious and national identity in any development of the situation in Russia" .
Participants will study the Law of God, hand-to-hand combat, survival in extreme natural conditions, applied conflictology, geopolitics, history and culture, the basics of civil mobilization. The conditions for staying in the camp are also stipulated: strict discipline, living in tents, self-sufficiency (alternating duty in the camp and in the kitchen), unquestioning obedience to the camp commandant, the senior group, and the instructor during classes.
Igor Artemov, leader of the Russian National Union, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region, said "in the first two-week shift there will be about 50 people from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Moscow, Tula, Tver, Novgorod, Ulyanovsk regions. In August, the number should increase to three hundred people - will come from the Stavropol Territory, Novosibirsk Region. The age of the participants is from 15 to 18 years. 12 teachers will work with the students of the camp . "
It is worth noting that the RONS is considered a nationalist organization that was liquidated by the court in 2004.
