Nationalist incident in Orel

In June 2005 another nationalist incident took place in Orel. It was reported by the newspaper "Number One in Buryatia", on the eve of the trial in the case of last year's beating of Buryat athletes, scheduled for July 8, which published an interview with the then injured archers.

One of the injured athletes, Erdem Zhigzhitov, told the newspaper that in June 2005 he and his team were again in Orel and "drunk youth on the street shouted obscenities after them: they say, Asians get out . " Another victim of skinheads, Aryuna Bolotova, noted: “Earlier, when they came to this city for competitions, I normally walked the streets, but now it’s scary to walk a few meters to the store . ”
