Vladislav Surkov, deputy head of the presidential administration, has already unofficially visited Seliger. On July 14, 2005, the camp was also visited by the governor of the Tver region Dmitry Zelenin.

Nashi's opponents call the camp on Seliger a stormtrooper camp.
