On June 6, 2005, on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Compliance with Legislation in the Sphere of Mass Communications (Rosokhrankultura) announced that during 2004 the NBP newspaper Generalnaya Liniya received three warnings from the service for inciting ethnic hatred, after which Rosokhrankultura filed a lawsuit demanding to deregister the newspaper.

This clarification was made in connection with the statement of Rosokhrankultura about 9 warnings issued by the media "for extremism."

As it turned out, warnings (moreover, the second - precisely for inciting national, and not social, as, for example, it was in the case of the Kemerovo newspaper "Kurs" , hatred) "General Line" were issued in July, September and November 2004. The first of The newspaper tried to appeal against them in court (which, for example, the newspaper Za Russkoe Delo is now trying to do ), but lost (on December 22, 2004, the NBP's claim was dismissed by the Krasnopresnensky Court of Moscow).

Let us recall that the previous newspaper of the NBP, Limonka, in May 2002 within two days received two consecutive warnings from the Ministry of Press , and in July it was closed by the Khamovniki Intermunicipal Court of Moscow.
