At the end of July, at a meeting of the head of the administration of Arkhangelsk, Alexander Donskoy, with representatives of the city's Muslims, the issue of transferring the building of the former mosque to believers was discussed. The mayor's office decided to support the Muslims. Interfax quotes a statement from the press service of the Arkhangelsk administration: “There is a building at the intersection of Novgorodsky Prospekt and Karla Marksa Street, which housed a mosque many decades ago. who owns the building. In case of a positive response, the object needs reconstruction."
