Detention of NBP activists in Belgorod
On July 16, 2005, activists of the National Bolshevik Party Vasily Obidchenko and Nina Silina were illegally detained in Belgorod. The activists, who arrived from Moscow, were suddenly approached by police officers on the street, they said that they suspected Obidchenko and Silina of theft, they put them in a car and took them to the police station.
The police conducted a personal search of the detainees. A parcel with the General Line newspaper was confiscated. An employee of the regional Organized Crime Control Department, who was in charge of the NBP in the Belgorod region, who was present there, tried to conduct an interrogation, but the detainees refused to talk to him. They tried to fingerprint Obidchenko and Silina, and after the detainees refused to be fingerprinted, the police threatened to detain them for 15 days. In the end, the National Bolsheviks were released.
Regarding the illegal detention of N. Silin and V. Obidchenko, complaints were sent to the prosecutor's office of Belgorod.
On July 17, 2005, when Nina Silina was leaving Belgorod, employees of the linear police department of the South Eastern Railway at the city station checked the documents of the girl and her companions, and examined the contents of Silina's backpack before entering the car.
