A mosque was desecrated in Penza
On the night of August 21-22, 2005 in Penza, unknown people threw a cobblestone into the window of the city's Cathedral Mosque. Nobody in the building was hurt. On the wall of the mosque, unknown people wrote the phrase "Long live the Russians!" (i.e. the inscriptions are not anti-Muslim, but ethno-nationalist). An investigation is underway into the vandalism.
