A Nizhny Novgorod priest considers it unacceptable to impose Orthodox doctrine on schoolchildren

Archpriest Nikolai Igoshev, Chairman of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese, during the seminar "Interaction between the deanery and the district administration in the field of religious education and spiritual and moral education: a systematic approach", held on September 12 in Balakhna, spoke out against the imposition of Orthodox dogma on children.

The priest stressed that "Orthodoxy has always respected the free will of man." The head of the department of catechesis also recalled the impossibility of violation of the law on education by Orthodox teachers and the need to study the legal framework.
