Rally in Vladikavkaz dispersed

On September 13, 2005, an authorized rally of the United Civil Front (UCF) was dispersed in Vladikavkaz.

The rally, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the abolition of the election of governors, was attended by 15 (according to the law enforcement agencies of North Ossetia) to 100 people (data of the "Caucasian Knot").

Some time after the start of the action, about 30 people in civilian clothes appeared with posters "Vissarion Aseev is a CIA agent." Calling themselves members of the Alany patriotic organization, they confiscated documents from the activists, tore up flags and posters with quotes from the Constitution, and trampled them into the dirt. Then the picketers were pushed into a bus and taken away in an unknown direction. A brawl broke out between the protesters and representatives of the Alans, but the police did not make any attempts to protect the citizens.

According to Marina Litvinovich, the assistant to the chairman of the UHF, Garry Kasparov, Marina Litvinovich, a total of 11 people were detained, including the adviser to the leader M. Litvinovich herself, her assistant Svetlana Efimova, the head of the North Ossetian branch of the UHF, Vissarion Aseev, and members of the Jackpot rock group. Svetlana Efimova reported this to Granyam.Ru by phone from the police station.

The detainees spent more than two hours in the department. They were required to write an explanatory note, after which they were photographed and copies of their passports were made, some of them were fingerprinted. The UHF activists were then released without any charges being brought against them.
