Pogrom prevented in Kaluga

On September 15, 2005, thanks to the joint efforts of citizens and law enforcement agencies in Kaluga, mass riots involving skinheads were prevented.

Skinhead thugs dressed in black jackets, with their appearance and hooligan behavior, attracted the attention of passengers on the Moscow-Kaluga train. Passengers reported the hooligans to the driver, and he, in turn, to the employees of the linear department of internal affairs.

At the station "Azarovo" a police squad removed from the train more than ten people aged 16 to 25 years. During the search, neo-Nazi literature was confiscated from them.

In the course of further investigation, it turned out that the teenagers, who turned out to be members of a neo-Nazi group (its name is not reported), were sent to Kaluga for the commemoration of a "comrade-in-arms" who was killed more than a month ago. According to the detainees themselves, they intended to diversify the "event" by beating "non-Russians".
