On September 21, 2005, hearings on the liquidation of the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society (RCFS) were postponed until September 25, 2005 at the request of the plaintiff - the Main Directorate of the Federal Registration Service for the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.
On September 12, 2005, the RCFS received a warning from the Office about the violation of the norms of the current legislation, which was issued following the results of an inspection of the Company that had lasted since February. The main claims of the controlling body concern the name of the organization .
The management of the Company recognized the remarks of the Department as legitimate and justified, and sent documents to the Department that eliminate these violations. They concern additions to the Charter and a change of name - from the Russian-Chechen Society to the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society.
Aleksey Shubin, a representative of the Office, said in an informal conversation with the executive director of the RCFS that the documents are satisfactory to the registration authority, but it will take some time for their consideration and registration of changes in the Charter and the name of the organization. After completion of this procedure, the claim for liquidation of the RCFS may be withdrawn.
