In the first half of September 2005, before the murder of Congolese Rolan Eposak, at least two other black students were beaten in St. Petersburg.
This became known from a report by Artem Kostyukovsky, dedicated to the problems of the spread of racism in St. Petersburg. The author emphasizes that students do not insist that the attacks were carried out by organized groups (for example, skinheads), but Africans have no doubt that they suffered precisely because of the color of their skin.
