In early September 2005, anti-Gypsy leaflets signed by the Free Russia movement appeared in Pskov. The leaflets contain accusations of all Pskov gypsies of spreading "a terrible disease of our time - drug addiction" , calls for violent actions against drug distributors of this nature: "We urge to clean up the city and Russia!", "No to gypsy drug lords !!!", "Drug trafficking = terrorism" .
At the end of September 2005, anti-Gypsy leaflets reappeared in Pskov with the slogans "Gypsies play the role of spiders in the drug distribution network... People! Let's fight together against these vile "spiders"!" In addition, the leaflet contains a proposal to provide "honest Pskov residents" with "addresses and names."
Roma in Pskov fear that their families may suffer because of crimes they did not commit.
St. Petersburg "Memorial" has twice appealed to the head of the Pskov Department of Internal Affairs, V.I. Petrov, with a request to conduct a serious investigation into the distribution of a leaflet signed by the "Free Russia" movement and bring its authors to justice for inciting ethnic hatred.
