Vladivostok: skinheads versus skaters

On September 27, 2005, the website of the Primorsky Television and Radio (PTR-vlad.Ru) published an article about the increasing number of attacks by skinheads on skaters.

According to media reports, "both local anti-fascists and various informal people who have chosen the so-called Vladivostok Arbat" also suffer . The skinheads themselves explain their actions by the fact that they "want to see Vladivostok" clean "in every sense: not only without the Chinese-Vietnamese and Caucasians, but also those who spoil the appearance of the city: punks, gopniks, drug addicts, "hipparies" of various stripes and classifications" . They "take care" of "monuments to the heroes of the Soviet era" , which are intended "not at all for skateboarding" .

"We are waging a guerrilla war, urban, street, quarter, whatever you want ... We want to restore order on the street. We are for peace ourselves. So that only Russians walk the streets, so that the streets are clean, the monuments are intact," the journalist quotes the words of the skinhead .
