An African beaten by skinheads died in St. Petersburg

In early May 2005, a 39-year-old citizen of Burkina Faso, French teacher Leandre Savadogo, was severely beaten in St. Petersburg.

He was attacked in the courtyard of his house in one of the southern districts of St. Petersburg. While the African was conscious, he managed to report that he remembered that he was attacked by a shaven-headed young man.

As a result of the attack, Leander Savadogo received a severe head injury, the left side of his body was paralyzed.

According to Elena Kovshova, a friend of L. Savadogo, the police refused to investigate the beating of Savadogo, not recognizing him as a victim because he did not write a statement about the attack.

On September 28, 2005, L. Savadogo died.
