Murder in Yekaterinburg

On October 1, 2005, in Yekaterinburg, a group of 15 people aged 12 to 17 killed 21-year-old Jew Andrei Dzyuba.

The teenagers, who were in a state of intoxication, met a 21-year-old young man they knew on Lenin Avenue, after which they all proceeded together to the territory of the Mikhailovsky cemetery. Teenagers pushed the victim in the back and shouted extremist slogans at him.

At the cemetery, they began to beat the young man with their hands and feet, and when he fell, five of them (including one 17-year-old girl) finished him off with a metal grave cross. The body was found the next day. A criminal case was initiated on the fact of the murder - all participants in the crime were identified.

The incident became known only in September 2006 in connection with the transfer of the case to the court.
