On October 16, a rally was held in Moscow against the activities of the Brahma Kumaris religious organization. About 70 people - Orthodox believers, representatives of veterans and political organizations - gathered on Hospital Square in front of the building occupied by the organization. They held Russian flags and posters in their hands: "Sects, hands off Russia!", "Our faith is Orthodox and there will be no other!", "Down with the sectarian infection from Russia!", "Instead of sects - Orthodox churches!".
The protesters said that Brahma Kumaris members are illegally preaching their "pseudo-scientific ideas" in Moscow schools. The protesters also referred to a document prepared in 2000 at the request of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Moscow. This document states: "The missionary and propaganda activities carried out by the adherents of the cult, based on religious-mystical, anti-scientific, absurd and anti-social ideas and ideas, has a negative impact on the psychological state and spiritual health of children, and also contributes to the destruction of families and the degradation of the social institution of the family in Russian society, excites religious strife and provokes the growth of inter-confessional tension.
From the message published on October 21 on the website of ONGO "Rodina" , it follows that the rally was organized by this very association. Among the organizations that supported the Motherland's initiative and took part in the action are: the Union of Orthodox Banner Bearers, the Association of Veterans of the Chechen Wars "Brothers", the Union of the Russian People, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the National Rise Party.
The Motherland website also contains the full text of the resolution adopted by the rally participants. The resolution, which begins with a "certificate about the sect", in particular, says: "There is a discrepancy between the actual activities of this organization and the activities declared during its registration with the justice authorities of the Russian Federation. Conducting by a religious association the training of followers of their religion and their brainwashing, missionary activity, associated with the training of new adherents of the cult, cannot be considered as an educational activity of a secular educational institution, as it was presented during licensing, but are a religious education of this non-traditional religious cult.

Of particular danger are the apocalyptic views of the sect, according to which adherents are convinced that a global nuclear war should break out any minute, which will be a means for them to turn into: angels; and: deities;. By all indications, this is nothing more than propaganda for war, albeit clothed in religious concepts and terminology - an act punishable under Russian law.
In view of this immediate prospect for the world, the entire content of family and social life, from the point of view of: science, taught in the organization: Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University;, is considered absolutely worthless, a complete illusion,: maya;. Essentially, in the organization: Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University; rejection of family life, of parents, relatives, society is promoted.
also took part in the action Members of the Union of the Russian People .
