Veterans ask for acquittal of those who hanged the effigy

On October 25, 2005, at the Magistrate's Court in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, testimony was heard from witnesses defending left-wing radicals who hung a scarecrow on May 9, 2005 on the monument-tank T-34.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, headed by the chairman of the City Council Vladimir Denisenko, said that they were not offended and asked the court to acquit the defendants. At the next meeting, the date of which has not yet been determined, the testimony of witnesses for the prosecution will be heard.
