The trial on the liquidation of the RCFS has been postponed

On November 1, 2005, the process on the claim of the Main Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice for the Nizhny Novgorod Region on the liquidation of the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society (RCFS) was postponed for an indefinite period.

Representative of the RCFS Alexander Lavrentiev filed a motion to leave the claim without consideration due to the fact that the registration authority cannot be a plaintiff in the liquidation process. After the judge issued a decision to deny the petition, the RCFS representatives announced their intention to appeal this decision to a higher court by filing a private complaint, and in this regard, the judge postponed the consideration of the case until the consideration of this complaint by the Judicial Collegium for Civil Cases of the Supreme Court RF.
