Tver diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church - against the "pseudo-Hindu sect 'Sahaja Yoga'"

The Tver diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church addressed the residents of the region with a warning in connection with the opening of a health center of the Sahaja Yoga organization in Tver. As a representative of the diocese told Interfax , "instead of health exercises, Tverites will be offered meditative practices that affect the psyche and consciousness. Thus, there will be an indirect intrusion into their spiritual life, leading to irreversible harmful consequences."

According to the interlocutor of the agency, "some organizations that have a religious orientation hide it from those whom they want to invite to them. So did the followers of Sahaji Yoga in this case, calling themselves not a religious organization, but registering as a health center" .
