On November 10, 2005, in the city of Iskitim, Novosibirsk Region, arson of "gypsy" houses was again recorded.

On the morning of November 10, unknown people threw a Molotov cocktail into the window of a private house where a gypsy family lived, which fell on the bed of an 8-year-old. The child received 3rd degree burns of the entire surface of the body and damage to the respiratory tract. The mother, who tried to put out the fire on her own, received second-degree burns - on her hands, lower leg and face. Both victims were hospitalized. The girl was taken to the children's intensive care unit of the city hospital in critical condition, where she later died.

According to firefighters, at about the same time, another case of arson of a "gypsy" house was registered in the city. There were no casualties. According to these facts, an investigation is underway.

Let us recall that in June 2005, were detained five suspects as part of an investigation into the arson of gypsy houses in Iskitim. Law enforcement agencies saw the reason for the arson in the fact that "gypsy" houses are often places where drugs are sold.

According to Boris Kreindel, the chairman of the PROU "Commission for Human Rights in the Tomsk Region", the district prosecutor announced on November 12, 2005 on Novosibirsk TV that the arsonists of houses in Iskitim, Novosibirsk Region, had been identified, but would not be punished, because. the population of Iskitim has long been concerned about the spread of drugs in the region and is very interested in seeing all gypsies leave.
