The Kaliningrad police do not like skinheads

On November 1, 2005, the Yantarny Karavan newspaper (Kaliningrad Region) published a short article about countering skinheads in the region.

The article notes that in recent years, radical nationalists in the region have become less active: the local RNU cell collapsed several years ago, there are no other organizations in the region except for skinhead groups, which "appear" infrequently.

Last but not least, according to the correspondent, this is the merit of the local special services. In particular, one of the police representatives claims that "both the police and the FSB, as they say," keep their finger on the pulse. "Usually these figures (skinheads - ed. ) are planning" something Fuhrer. But here both we and the Chekists are just holding their own events. Last year they covered them in the basements in the Central District. When the "guests from the capital" arrived and a big party began, they just caught and ... had educational conversations. Then they were very quietly fled and were afraid to stick out. This year they also worked quickly and "quietly". Here the point is that our employees themselves do not like them very much, and the skins understand that it is better not to mess with the peasants. "

However, the picture is still not so good, and there are racist attacks in the region, although they practically do not get into the press. In particular, one of the skinheads in Baltiysk (the regional center of the Kaliningrad region) told the newspaper that they regularly held “actions”: “We get together, chip in for alcohol and figure out what to do together. Then we go to beat the “blacks.” But you can’t kill them , because two living ones will come to the place of each dead .
