On November 15, 2005, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation refused to satisfy the defense of the National Bolshevik Party in satisfying the appeal against the decision of the Moscow Regional Court to liquidate the interregional public association "National Bolshevik Party", canceled by the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation (the ban of which was then canceled by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation).

Lawyers for the NBP stated that they intend to file a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights. In addition, the party intends to make another attempt to register - as the federal National Bolshevik Party of the Russian Federation.

Commenting on the decision of the Supreme Court, deputy chairman of the Yabloko party Sergei Mitrokhin said that the incident is unlikely to harm the NBP, but there is serious concern about the fate of other organizations. Among those who are in danger, S. Mitrokhin named Yabloko, the Movement for Human Rights of Lev Ponomarev, the Conscience group, the Green Russia party, Soldiers' Mothers and all other movements opposing the Kremlin's policies.
