On November 16, 2005, the composition of the next third of the Public Chamber was published. Among others, it included the chairman of the board of the All-Russian public organization "Union of Writers of Russia", a well-known anti-Semite and activist of the "Russian Party" in Soviet times, Valery Ganichev.
We could not find direct indications that V. Ganichev signed the letter "500" , although there were mentions of this on the Internet, however, it is known that he signed a letter in defense of the anti-Semitic program "Antideza" in 2002 and spoke in defense of B. Mironov , in connection with the prosecution of the latter for inciting ethnic hatred in 2004
